Intimately getting to know a plant

Getting to know a plant is like getting to know a person.  You might have seen the plant in passing a few times before you recognized her when you see her out and about.   And even once you meet a plant you need to interact for a while to see how she really makes you feel and really get to know her to see if you might be long lost friends.  Just knowing a plant's name isn't knowing her any more than just knowing your best friend's name is truly knowing her.  Take the time to truly get to know a plant by growing it and learn how to recognize her through many seasons and what she can do for you.  Or consider trying to get to know one plant by using it for a week or two to see how it feels.  This is the idea of my Herb of the Month Club.  It is not the idea to just build an apothecary of herbs for the future it is about interacting with these herbs now and really getting to know them as plant allies.

Here is a beautiful gallery of pictures taken by my friend Jennifer Wick of the Comfrey plant that is at the front of my yard.  Do you know what Comfrey is for?  Did you know Comfrey was so magnificent?  Or did it seem like just another green plant to you?

After seeing this pictures I hope that you will want to get to know her and won't just think of Comfrey as some random leafy green plant anymore!

Beautiful photos, Kate. I'm excited to read your blogs and get to know local plants from your point of view.

Beautiful photos. I have wanted some comfrey for some time to grow in my yard. It doesn't seem to be so easy to come by.

Hello everyone, I have been suffering from herpes virus since 2017. During the first year the OB was all over my body was type 1 and 2 was using famciclovir and valacyclovir to control the OBs. Was always feeling bad and needed a cure, went on web and saw about Chief Dr Lucky I saw a testimonies of someone who has been cured from genital warts and another with Cancer by Chief Dr Lucky so I wrote to Chief Dr Lucky telling him about my herpes virus he told me not to worry that i was going to be cured I was happy, well after all the procedures and remedy given to me by him, few weeks later i started experiencing changes all over me as assured by him. After some time i went to my doctor to confirm if i have been finally free from the virus oh it was real. hepatitis, genital wart, herpes/STDs and diabetes. you can email him on> chiefdrlucky@gmail.com or WhatsApp +2348132777335
