This is my 7th year teaching this herbal intensive. The first year we use Rosemary Gladstar's program as the base to build from and go more in-depth from there. We learn body system by body system with a focus on learning categories of herbs as well as individual herbs that have an affinity for different body systems. This first year gives you the ability to help friends and family with common concerns. For those who choose to continue learning with our Intermediate (Year 2) and Advanced (Year 3) classes, we dive deeper into several herbal methodologies to look at the body in a more proactive way.
Early registration is open until August 15th for $225. Late registration is open until the class is full and is $250. Class size is limited to 25 people.
$225 registration fee due at enrollment
$85 each month
$85 discount if the full year’s tuition is paid when classes begin.
$50 credit if you register with a friend.

Expand your ability and confidence in supporting your family’s health. This is a systematic look at how to address wellness concerns from a folk herbalism perspective. This year-long program was created by renowned herbalist Rosemary Gladstar. Using her very hands-on approach to learning and her extensive course binder as a supplement we will focus on a new discussion topic each month with additional discussion and materials provided by Kate Bodmann. We will create health-promoting herbal preparations each month for you to use with your family. We will possibly have field trips for those interested. Upon completion of assignments, course of study, and review by Kate Bodmann a certificate of completion will be awarded from Rosemary Gladstar's Science and Art of Herbalism and Kate Bodmann's Rooted Wisdom.
*Those who are interested can continue for a Year Two Program where we look at herbal theory and approaches to getting to the root of health patterns using Traditional Chinese Medicine patterns such as Five Element theory and Chinese Organ systems. We also look at the Western Tissue States and Ayurvedic doshas to help us get a fuller picture of those whom we are trying to help.
This listing is for those students who completed Year 1 and would like to repeat the year. The initial registration is $50 to cover materials through the year and to claim your spot in class. Your monthly payment will be $45 per class if you completed Year 1. If you did not complete Year 1 and dropped prior to 9 mos of class then you will need to register as a new student.
*Please only enroll in this continuing class if you are committed to completing the whole year.

LIVE ONLINE VIA ZOOM and IN PERSON beginning in September.
This intermediate class is the progression from my beginning herbalism class (year one). On a case by base basis I will allow others to register if they have at least one year of solid herbal training. They should have a basic knowledge of 50 -100 herbs, basic knowledge of herbs that would be beneficial to each body system, and have an understanding of Action Categories.
This class begins to pull together the knowledge you have of herbs and how to apply them. We start with reviewing Action Categories and then how they relate to Western Tissue States. We them move into an introductory level of Ayurveda from a herbal and lifestyle perspective. We dive deeper to look at herbal theory and approaches to get to the root of health patterns using Chinese Medicine theory such as Five Element theory and Chinese Organ systems.
The intermediate and advanced course will focus on applied knowledge; case studies, individual experiences with herbs, differential diagnosis, and practitioner tips.
Class will be the the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:00-2:00 from September 2022 through August 2023. There is an initial registration of $50 to hold your space. Each class will be $85.
*Please only enroll in this continuing class if you are committed to completing the whole year.
