It has been my privilege and joy to teach my herbal intensive program since 2015!  I am excited to share all that I can to improve your life and that of those you choose to share your herbal wisdom with!

The first year we learn body system by body system with a focus on learning categories of herbs as well as individual herbs that have an affinity for different body systems. This first year gives you the ability to help friends and family with common concerns. Please read more about what we cover below.

For those who choose to continue learning with our Intermediate (Year 2) and Advanced (Year 3) classes, we dive deeper into several herbal methodologies to include Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine and we look at the body in a more proactive way and how we can nourish ourselves through all seasons of the year and seasons of life.

There are 2 options for enrollment. If you would like to concurrently graduate from Rosemary Gladstar's Art and Science of Herbalism program the registration fee is $300 for her program binder and to graduate. For the first time I am also offering this class without dual enrollment in her program. Registration is $100 and students will not receive her class binder.

Expand your ability and confidence in supporting your family’s health. This is a systematic look at how to address wellness concerns from a folk herbalism perspective. This year-long program was created by renowned herbalist Rosemary Gladstar. Using her very hands-on approach to learning and her extensive course binder as a supplement we will focus on a new discussion topic each month with additional discussion and materials provided by Kate Bodmann. We will create health-promoting herbal preparations each month for you to use with your family. We will possibly have field trips for those interested. Upon completion of assignments, course of study, and review by Kate Bodmann a certificate of completion will be awarded from Rosemary Gladstar's Science and Art of Herbalism and Kate Bodmann's Rooted Wisdom.

*Those who are interested can continue for a Year Two Program where we look at herbal theory and approaches to getting to the root of health patterns using Traditional Chinese Medicine patterns such as Five Element theory and Chinese Organ systems. We also look at the Western Tissue States and Ayurvedic doshas to help us get a fuller picture of those whom we are trying to help.

2026 YEAR 2 - Intermediate Class
This price is solely for registration for Year 2! The fee will partially be used for a small practitioner's tool kit as a thank you! Our regular class fee continues to apply.

This intermediate class is the progression from my beginning herbalism class (year one). On a case-by-case basis, I will allow others to register if they have at least one year of solid herbal training. They should have a basic knowledge of 50 -100 herbs, basic knowledge of herbs related to each body system, and have an understanding of Action Categories.

We them move into an introductory level of Ayurveda from a herbal and lifestyle perspective. We dive deeper to look at herbal theory and approaches to get to the root of health patterns using Chinese Medicine theory such as Five Element theory and Chinese Organ systems.

The intermediate and advanced course will focus on applied knowledge; case studies, individual experiences with herbs, differential diagnosis, and practitioner tips.

Class will be the the  2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00-2:00 from April 2026-March 2027. There is an initial registration of $50 to hold your space. Each class will be $85.
